How do I contact you if I have a question or concern?

You can always email me at jimh@register2dance.com. I'll do my best to respond as quickly as possible, especially if it's an emergency. Please be patient, though. Register2dance.com is only one person (i.e., me), and I do have a day job, a social life, etc.

What will Register2Dance.com do for me?

Register2Dance.com is designed to be your central registration management system for your events. In addition to providing your customers with a way to register and pay for your events, it also lets you manage registration lists, automatically generate confirmation letters, track your profits and losses, and many other things. I'm constantly adding new features based on your requests. So, if there's something that would make your life easier, feel free to drop me a line with the sugestion.

Fees

How much does it cost to use Register2Dance.com?

Any time that someone registers for one of your events, I charge a 5% + $0.50 service fee on the cost of their registration. For each event, you'll be able to choose either (a) to pay the fee yourself out of your costs or (b) to have the fee added on to the costs that you charge your customers. So, if you don't make money, I don't make money!

Your fees are higher than services like PayPal, Google Checkout, and Amazon. Why?

Our fees are indeed higher than PayPal, Google Checkout, or Amazon FPS. That's because PayPal, Google Checkout, and Amazon FPS only offer payment processing. Register2Dance.com offer extra services specifically tailored to the business of organizing dance events, such as creating easy registration pages and managing lists of registered participants.

In fact, Register2Dance.com uses Amazon FPS for processing payments. Approximately 60% of the fees that you pay to Register2Dance.com go back to Amazon FPS to pay for this service. I pay these fees so that you don't have to worry about them, but it means that I need to charge you slightly higher fees to pay for my costs.

Why do you use Amazon FPS rather than a more common service like PayPal?

I like PayPal. In fact, I work for them in my day job. That said, PayPal's service does not support developers doing the kinds of things that I've done with Register2Dance.com. Should PayPal decide to change their developer tools, I will certainly consider using them.

Do my customers need an Amazon account to checkout?

Yes. Amazon FPS requires customers to have an Amazon account to pay you. Although some customers may not have Amazon accounts, most people in the US have purchased with Amazon at some point.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. The 5% service fee pays for all of the online event management features when your customers pay you through Register2Dance.com.

What happens if my customers need a refund?

Eventually, I plan to give you the ability to offer refunds via Register2Dance.com. Until then, you should process refunds at Amazon. If your customers paid the Register2Dance.com fees, you should add 5% to the amount that you refund. Then, contact me, and I'll refund the fees to you.

International

Do you support countries or currencies outside of the United States?

Not at this time. It's certainly high on the priority list, but simply getting everything working in the US is higher.
