How it Works
How registration
Once you create a Register2Dance.com account, you'll be able to set up any number of events that you want. For each event, Register2Dance.com will create a unique webpage that you can customize with your logo and colors. In order for customers to register, all you need to do is point them to this webpage. When your customers go to this webpage, they'll register for the event and pay you through Amazon.com.
How you get paid
Amazon Payments is a new service from Amazon.com that is similar in many ways to PayPal. You'll first set up a business account with Amazon either by upgrading your current Amazon account or creating a new one. Then, customers will pay you from their existing Amazon accounts. Once the money is in your account, you'll be able to withdraw it to your bank account or spend it at Amazon.
When a customer pays you, you'll see two things happen in your Amazon account. First, you'll see a deposit for the total amount of your customer's purchase. Then, you'll see a withdrawal for the Register2Dance.com fees.
When you create your Register2Dance.com account, you'll have to give me permission to deposit payments into your account and to withdraw fees from your account. This is why you'll have to enter your Amazon password twice while creating your Register2Dance.com account. Also, you'll have to give permission again once a year in order for Register2Dance.com to continue providing this service for you.
Types of events
Currently, Register2Dance.com allows you to create two basic types of events:
- Single Events: You'll create these when you want your customers to register for individual events, such as a class or a dance. You'll have the option to limit the number of people who can register and to have early and late registration charges.
- Complex Events: You'll create these when you want your customers to register for multiple activities as part of a single event. For example, you might use complex events to manage registration for weekend workshops with multiple classes and parties or for a dance series where your customers can pay by the class or receive a discount for the series. With complex events, you'll also have the option to limit the number of people who can register for each activity and to have early and late registration charges. Additionally, you'll be able to give package discounts when your customers register for multiple activities.
